We are proud to be welcomed back to the Helper Arts Festival for the 2nd annual Carbon Shortcuts Project. But what is CSP? It’s a Utah based filmmaking contest open to all levels of creatives. So whether you are a youtuber, hobbyist, professional or never even pressed record on your phone, this project is for you!

So dust off your cameras and mics, get your crew together and head on out to make that film you’ve been dreaming of. Fill in the form below to register for free!

What is it? - A short filmmaking fest. Featuring 10 local 10 minute films.

Where is it? - The Rio Theater 210 S. Main Street in Historic Helper Utah during The Helper Arts Fest August 2026. We’ll be back in 2026!

How to get involved? - Registration details coming in April 2026. At noon the random genres and elements will be emailed and posted on the social pages. Each team will receive 1 genre. They may choose to change to Wildcard Genre but must stick with the Wildcard. Get your random genre (Action, Comedy, Drama, Horror, Scifi, Thriller, Romance, Fantasy.). Element to include - art supplies and an act of helping. Time limit - Under 10 minutes with maximum 60 secs for credits. Bonus points if you hit 10 mins exactly. Films due - Aug 6th 2026 11:59pm by digital upload. Email non password protected link to info@filmulate.com. You must include the waiver and title cards or you won't be judged.
