We are proud to be welcomed back to the Helper Arts Festival for the 3rd annual Carbon Shortcuts Project. But what is CSP? It’s a Utah based filmmaking contest open to all levels of creatives. So whether you are a youtuber, hobbyist, professional or never even pressed record on your phone, this project is for you!
So dust off your cameras and mics, get your crew together and head on out to make that film you’ve been dreaming of. Fill in the form below to register!

What is it? - A short filmmaking fest. Featuring 10 local 10 minute films.
Where is it? - The Rio Theater 210 S. Main Street in Historic Helper Utah during The Helper Arts Fest August 22nd 2026.
How to get involved? - Register below. Then choose your sub-genre from A Vision of the Future through your lens. (Utopia. Dystopia. Cyper Punk. Kitschy Futurism. Tech Fear. Hacker. Robots. Cerebral SciFi. Space Opera. AI is Good. AI is Bad). Element to include - Life enhancing or deterring Invention. Time limit - Under 10 minutes with maximum 60 secs for credits. Bonus points if you hit 10 mins exactly. Films due - Aug 10th 2026 11:59pm by digital upload. Email non password protected link to info@filmulate.com and upload to provided team folder. You must include the waiver and title cards or you won't be judged.
